Esoteric is proud to introduce this versatile new generation of reference cables. The 6N-DA5500 nextgen series incorporate 6N copper wire strands and WBT “nextgen” pure copper connectors. This combination improves performance as required for wide band frequency response and rapid signal transfer. The 6N (99.99997%) purity “stress-free” Cu conductor cable is produced by ACROLINK®.

Conductor purity is one of the most important factors in designing audio interconnects to achieve excellent transparency, higher resolution, and more precise imaging. The 6N-DA5500 nextgen cables incorporate 6N purity copper cores (f0.26 mm x 19 strands), produced by a unique “stress-free” annealing method. This technology is essential in the production of these new cables.
The conductive cable core is insulated by PTFE Teflon tape, providing ideal sonic performance backed by a low dielectric constant. The polyethylene insulation used controls mechanical resonance, keeping the core and the screen layer at a constant distance to provide stable signal transmission. Double layer screening used consists of copper foil and braided UEW, providing perfect protection against noise and other interference. High quality UV resistant polyurethane outer jackets offer further resonance damping and ideal flexibility.
The “nextgen” RCA connector was designed and produced by the German manufacturer WBT. WBT is highly rated for their superb product quality. WBT’s “nextgen” connectors include the following features:
- Ultimate conductivity
- Ultra rapid signal transfer
- Reduced signal path interference and elimination of Eddy currents
- True wide band connector performance (Wide band characteristics: 1 GHz)
- True 75 ohms surge impedance as required for high end digital connections
The “nextgen” connector, coupled with 6N purity conductors, provide ideal performance for wide band signal transmission when used in analog or digital, audio video applications.
